Just found your Substack and I’m excited to dive into all your travel recs. Slovenia is one of my favourite destinations, the nature/scenery is so stunning! I absolutely loved Hotel Majer’ca near Lake Bohinj and the Julian Alps. Wish I got to spend more time in Slovenia’s wine regions!
My in-laws are in Corsica and I lived there for about three years near Ajaccio (we’re probably going this summer also). Are you arriving by ferry? Or plane?

The southern half of the island is probably the best to focus on for a week in summer (best beaches and resort villages- Bonifacio, Porto Vecchio) but the northern most point is the best wine region of that interests you (Patrimonio)

Arriving by plane! We are planning on focusing on the southern half, so this is great to hear. I’m jealous you’ve lived there, what a dream!
