Hello, and happy Friday! Welcome to the the monthly MindHoliday list, the corner of the internet where I share my newest finds and favorites, what’s next on my list, recent travel bookings, and other tidbits. This usually comes after the end of the month, but I’ll be visiting France and celebrating not being in America for the Fourth of July, so consider me out of office next week!
Latest Finds and Favorites:

The beef rib at Hometown BBQ in Red Hook. This was the first legit rib I feel like I’ve had in the city since moving here from the south seven years ago. I might have teared up! Everything else that we tried — queso, sausage, cornbread, brisket sandwich — was divine too. Super easy to walk in on a weekday on the early-ish side.
Radio Bakery in Greenpoint — I cannot stop talking about Radio. Their sandwiches and croissants are to die for, so much so that I’ve gone two Saturdays in a row to sample as many goodies as possible. They also have one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. There’s always a line, and it always moves fast and is 100% worth it!
The combo of Adidas shorts and vintage designer tops (sold out, similar) for summer strolls. I wore this to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden one day and felt chic and comfy!
Backyard Tuesday jazz night at La Rina, a lovely Italian restaurant in Fort Greene.
And La Rina’s sister restaurant, Impasto, has excellent soft serve gelato with olive oil and salt. Another neighborhood favorite, especially when they have the vanilla and hazelnut twist on tap! A summer night essential.
Bathhouse Flatiron, which is much larger and better than the older, cramped Williamsburg location. My favorite spa in the city is still AIRE (a must), but this is a great spa for casually going with friends.
The realization that you can easily get Zofran prescribed via Wisp if you live in NYC. If you’re a nauseous girlie like me, this stuff is fantastic, and has been up until this point SO hard to get. I had a horrific case of food poisioning in Egypt last year, and this would have been amazing to have. I’m going to bring it on all of my trips as a “just in case” moving forward! It’s also good for combating nausea from terrible hangovers and indigestion. Bonus cool girl use: this counteracts nausea from taking 🍄… do with that what you will.
I caved and bought these Tevas, after murdering my feet in sneakers walking around Spain. I needed something that was conducive to less sweat, and in turn, less blisters. Not the hottest shoe on the planet, but I go them in red because it seemed more chic? No rubbing to report yet, and I like the look of them with my pearl anklet (similar).
If you know me, every calendar year or so, I choose a new color to obsess over, like a child. This time, it’s yellow, and I’m celebrating with my new corn phone case and butter hat.
What’s Next on my List:
Not too much on this list, as I’ll be in France by the time you read this, and then I’ll be on my honeymoon in July/Aug, but…

The all-day Cafe Mado, from the Place des Fetes team, just opened up in the old Oxalis space. PDF is one of my favorite Clinton Hill restaurants, so I am excited to check this out!
You know I am in constant pursuit of a hobby that I can actually stick to, and I want to try embroidery beading next!
Mark and I are dying to take DJ lessons this fall, but in the meantime, I’ll be using this to make my own sets.
Dying to explore Green-Wood Cemetery. Mark and I were supposed to go on Monday, but I woke up with a lame ass summer cold? There’s a nice two mile trail that I want to walk. It’s supposed to be beautiful, and many notable people (ahem, Jean-Michel Basquiat) are buried here.
Dying to go to an art event at the Greenpoint location of Happy Medium. They have a lovely sprawling garden where you can show up and paint/do other crafts! Make a res here.
Will also be hitting up Hericot Vert to make some insanely cute yet impractical jewelry when I am back from my travels…
What I’ve booked:
For Me:

I’ve basically booked up my entire year at this point, so not much to report! But we are headed back to Formentera and Ibiza in September with some of our dear friends to dance and party the right way this time, and I booked these spots!
The Standard Ibiza, for a centrally located hotel (our biggest problem last time was how far away we stayed from everything).
Hotel Gecko on Formentera, for a nice home base while we spend a few days relaxing on the island.
For Clients:

Octant Furnas, for a client headed to the Azores this month!
Santa Barbara Resort, for the same Azores client! I’ve heard amazing things about both properties, so I am excited to hear how they are. After planning this itinerary, I am dead set on going to the Azores next year.
Harbour Hotel in St. Ives, for my friend’s trip to Cornwall with his mother! If I am being honest, I didn’t know the Cornish Riviera was a thing, but it looks STUNNING and is so close to London. Definitely on my radar for the next time I am across the pond.
Other Tidbits
How to get past festival security in the UK, if you plan on (responsibly) partying this summer with alternative substances, and are anti-alcohol like me…
Qantas just unveiled their new economy and economy plus seat renderings for the upcoming launch of their 22 hour Sydney - NYC flight, and they’re much less diabolical than I expected? Looks like there’s actually leg room, and stretch areas, although I personally don’t know if I’m strong enough for this.
This is my favorite underrated airport area…
If you’re looking for other summer activities around NYC and don’t know what to do, start here!!!
Ok, ciao for now! I hope you all enjoy 4th of July weekend, I am manifesting sunny weather and crisp, post-beach shower beers for you all.
