A NYC Staycation Guide
Cheap (and a few expensive) thrills around the city that will make you feel like a tourist in the *best* way possible
September and October are the best months to explore New York City, especially if you are a local. Kids are back in school, and the summer tourist crowd dissipates. The temperatures drop enough to let you walk around and really enjoy yourself without feeling like a sewer rat boiling alive! You get to debut your new sweaters!
If you have a free weekend (or weekday) coming up to do and have no idea how to spend it, here are some ideas to get you started.
Some of these are more ambitious (walking the length of Manhattan), while others are perfect for filling in a date night. You could even stack some of these for a very fulfilling long weekend (staycation at the Carlysle + MET and Central Park + Cloisters/Inwood would be a luxe top notch example).

Let me know if you end up doing any of these, or if you have any other suggestions that I should know about!
